In February 2020, the alliance for biodiversity knowledge organized a community consultation on Advancing the Catalogue of the World’s Natural History Collections.
GBIF and other partners have incorporated the outcomes of this consultation recommendations into their work.
On 16 February 2021, GBIF, BCoN, DiSSCo, iDigBio and other partners initiated another global consultation aimed at establishing a common framework for collaboration around data models for the digital representation of specimens in museum collections. We invite all interested parties to join this important discussion.
If you missed the introductory webinars in which nearly 300 registrants participated, the recordings will be posted below. Then join the discussion in the GBIF Community Forum, where you can share your thoughts with others through 5 March 2021.
