The Department of Forest Protection and Entomology at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague conducts research in the fields of forest protection against insect pests, fungal pathogens, insect pathology, biodiversity and utilization of insects as bio-indicators, taxonomy, simulation and prediction of disturbance phenomena, chemical communication of insects, including the study of phylogenetic relations, and global insect invasions and their underlying dynamics.
