El Museo del Mar de la Universidad Arturo Prat, tiene como misión facilitar a la comunidad nacional e internacional el acceso a la comprensión de la biodiversidad y medio ambiente del país, permitiendo el reconocimiento de las diversas especies marinas que habitan en Chile. El Museo depende de la Universidad Arturo Prat de Iquique, Chile, por lo que es un museo de libre acceso a la comunidad, con énfasis en la inclusión// The Mission of the Museo del Mar of the Arturo Prat University is to do closest to the society the understanding about the biodiversity and environment of Chile, this will allow recognize the Chilean marine species. The Museum belong to Arturo Prat University whereby is a free access institution to all kind of public with emphasis in the inclusion.
