Description

The bird collection consists 221 species and 536 individual specimen. The specimen in the collection have been prepared by Veikko Salkio. Species that occur rarely in Finland are represented among others. As a separate group featured are colour variations, hybrids and deformities in birds.

Sampling

No animal has been killed for the collection, they have died due to road traffic or other accidental means. They have been brought by the authorities, helpers and also the public.
