This was a stakeholder's meeting on threatened Ghanaian medicinal plants as a part of a BID project, Increasing data-mobilization capacity to conserve threatened medicinal plants in Ghana. Prof. Alex Asase was the opening speaker, and he talked about the importance of traditional health care system of Ghana and the goals and impacts of the BID project. He covered the overall goal of the GBIF-BID project which is to mobilize primary biodiversity data and enhance human capacity towards conservation of threatened Ghanaian medicinal plants.
