This first workshop for the CESP project "Using the CBD Clearing-House Mechanism to strengthen biodiversity data acquisition and data sharing" was held to present the new Clearing-House Mechanism (CHM) tool “Bioland” and the GBIF tools and community to the CHM leaders and managers, and to provide a forum to spark opportunities for collaboration. Participants also worked together on how to use the Bioland infrastructure and data, in the context of collaborating with GBIF.
In attendance at the workshop were 13 African country CHM representatives; seven of the African country project partners and an additional six from other African countries.
