distribution
Distribution. Diastobranchus capensis was described from South Africa. It is known from temperate waters of the eastern South Pacific, Indian Ocean, and WSA (Castle 1986 b; Parin et al. 1995; Sulak & Shcherbachev 1997; Brickle & Laptikhovsy 2002). Recently, several specimens were collected in the western North Atlantic off New England, USA (about 40 º N), thus extending the known distribution of the species to the northern hemisphere (Moore et al. 2003).
