Distribution. Burma, Ceylon, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Vietnam. Remarks. Vercammen-Grandjean (1971), on the basis of an examination of the type series, came to the conclusion that Schoengastiella disparunguis Oudemans, 1929 is identical to Walchia pingue Gater, 1932, while the materials identified as Gahrliepia (Walchia) disparunguis disparunguis by Traub & Evans (1957) represent a separate species, which was described by him as Walchia (Walchia) fulleri (see below). Thus, some part of the above records can be attributed to W. fulleri.
