Cells of the intermediate trichome were larger in size than the cells towards apex, cells much longer than wide, cellular dimensions 1.1 - 1.6 µm (length) and 0.4 - 0.5 µm (width), mucilaginous sheath absent, cell contents homogeneous, green without any granulated appearance, aerotopes absent. No heterocytes and akinetes. Cell division takes place by asymmetrical binary fission. Reproductive propagation by the help of hormogonia.
