diagnosis
Diagnosis. Typical Dicharax species possess R 2 ribs curved toward aperture. Genus generally characterized by complete absence of spiral striation. Only two of 164 species assigned to genus by Páll-Gergely et al. (2020), have indication of spiral striation. A few other species reported to have striations by Jirapatrasilp et al. (2021). Despite occurrence of spiral striations in relatively few species, the absence of striations is generally a valuable character by which to recognize Dicharax species, although examination of additional characters is also critical.
