Oxidase activity is positive. In the API 20 NE test, cells are positive for hydrolysis of aesculin and gelatin, but negative for nitrate reduction; indole production; glucose fermentation; activity of arginine dihydrolase, urease, and β - galactosidase; and assimilation of D- glucose, L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N - acetyl-glucosamine, D- maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain LPB 0284 (= NIBRBAC 000503340) was isolated from a soil sample collected from Seoul, Republic of Korea (37 ° 35 ʹ 06.1 ʺ N, 127 ° 01 ʹ 35.5 ʺ E).
