discussion
Remarks. According to Séguy (1926), the “ male ” holotype of A. manevali is characterized by large protruding genitalia. A study of the holotype revealed that it is in fact a female specimen, as already suspected by de Jong et al. (2000). Nartshuk (1982) stated that females with black scutellum and wholly black abdomen belong to A. orbiculus.
discussion
Remarks. Majer (1977) described A. kaszabi based on the “ male ” holotype from Mongolia. His illustration, however, clearly shows a female as already mentioned in de Jong et al. (2000), who suggest that it might be conspecific with A. orbiculus. The abdominal pattern of the holotype also occurs in the DNA-voucher specimen CK 680 from south-western France (fig. 8 A).
discussion
Remarks. The male holotype of A. minuscula was collected in Spain and, following Séguy (1934), differs from other species by their yellow distitarsi and hyaline lower calypters.
