diagnosis
Diagnosis. Siphonoecetina with rostrum present. Flagellum of antenna 2 article 2 with 1, article 3 with 2 distal robust setae (Fig. 3 E 1). Pereopods 5 – 6 carpus with 1 long terminal and 1 – 3 short robust setae. Uropod 1 peduncle with ventroapical fimbriate or denticulate corona margin. Inner ramus of uropods l and 2 slender, subcylindrical, with a single robust seta in apical hollow. Uropod 3 peduncle distal margin naked or with a few short setae (Fig. 3 G 2). Component species. Siphonoecetes typicus Krøyer, 1845; S. smithianus Rathbun, 1905; S. sabatieri Rouville, 1894 (provisionally placed here).
