Ontario: Hawthorn, 45 ° 23 ′ 19.72 ″ N 75 ° 36 ′ 13.37 ″ W, margin of sphagnum bog, 7. viii. 1937, F. A. Urquhart, CNC Type No. 4363, CNC 311958. Determination: HOLOTYPE ♀ Nemobius macdunnoughi Urquhart No. 4363 / Nemobius macdunnoughi Urq. / Holotype. Notes: “ Hawthorne ” likely refers to Hawthorne Village, a small village located outside of Ottawa from 1873 (when it first assumed the name Hawthorne) until it was annexed by Ottawa in 1950. Hawthorne was located in the area of Hawthorne and Russell Roads in present day Ottawa (information from the Gloucester Historical Society). The original description states that specimens were collected on the margin of a sphagnum bog, which likely refers to Mer Bleue, which is just to the east of Hawthorne.
