diagnosis
Diagnosis Apterae 2.5 – 3.8 mm, golden brown covered with a dense, greyish wax powder, except for posterior part of dorsum which is shiny black. Holocyclic, monoecious on Pinus, sometimes anholocyclic (Binazzi & Roversi 1987). On 0 – 1 year-old twigs, usually attended by ants. Diagnosis based on Heie (1995), Blackman & Eastop (1994) and Dransfield & Brightwell (2015).
