Abstract
Alistipes is a genus in the phylum Bacteroidota (Bacteria).
Etymology
The name Alistipes derives from:Latin adjective alius, other; Latin masculine gender noun stipes, a log, stock, post, trunk of a tree, stick; New Latin masculine gender noun alistipes, the other stick.
