Pleotelson long, with few long spines anteriorly; lateral margins with spines; posterior part of pleotelson tapeing towards apex. Antennula short, reaching little beyond distal end of second peduncular segment of antenna. Antenna long and slender, about 0.8 of total body length; with pronounced spine dorsally on third segment, spine near mid-laterally on fourth segment. Spines absent from basis of pereopods 5 – 7, small bump on basis of pereopod 6. Oostegites present at least on pereopod 4.
discussion
Remarks: The species can be distinguished from other species of Spectrarcturus on the shape of the pleotelson and the configuration of the spines on the body. The male is not yet known.
