discussion
Remarks. Most characters of the sampled material from Fujian Province agree with the specimens from Zhejiang Province, the type locality of C. bidentata. Even so, some obvious differences have been noticed. The body macro and mesochaetae are always smooth (Fig. 11) and the maxilla is tri-branched in Fujian’s individuals (Figs 12 – 13), whereas the body macro and mesochaetae are serrated, and maxilla is bi-branched in Zhejiang's specimens. The hypothesis that these distinct populations belong to different species cannot be ruled out, and further studies should be carried out to confirm or refute it.
