description
Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated, non-pigmented and rod- or coccoid-shaped. Colonies are circler, convex, entire and light pink-colored after 3 days on TSA at 30 ° C. Negative for arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, β - galactosidase, gelatinase, glucose fermentation, indole production, nitrate reduction and urease in API 20 NE. Does not utilize N - acetyl-glucosamine, adipic acid, L-arabinose, capric acid, D-glucose, malic acid, D-maltose, D-mannitol, D-mannose, phenylacetic acid and trisodium citrate. Weakly utilize the potassium gluconate. Strain C 1 - 60 (= NIBRBAC 000498022) has been isolated from a natural cave, Jeju, Korea.
