description
Cells are aerobic, Gramstainingpositive, nonflagellated and coccoid. Colonies are circular and white colored after incubation for 3 days on R 2 A agar at 20 - 40 ℃. In the API 20 NE system, positive reaction for hydrolysis of esculin and gelatin, β-galactosidase activity and utilization of Dglucose, Larabinose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, N acetylglucosamine, potassium gluconate, malic acid and trisodium citrate. In the API 20 NE system, negative reaction for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease activity, oxidase activity and utilization of D-maltose, capric acid, adipic acid and phenylacetic acid. Strain 13 H 3 (= NIBRBAC 000503224) was isolated from meadow soil in Yeongwol, Gangwon Province, Korea (37 ° 23 ′ 04.0 ″ N 128 ° 41 ′ 01.3 ″ E).
