description
Cells are aerobic, Gramstainingpositive, nonflagellated and coccoid or rod shaped. Colonies are circular and yellow colored after incubation for 3 days on R 2 A agar at 20 - 40 ℃. In the API 20 NE system, positive reaction for urease activity, hydrolysis of esculin and gelatin, β-galactosidase activity and utilization of D-glucose, L-arabinose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, N acetylglucosamine, Dmaltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. In the API 20 NE system, negative reaction for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, oxidase activity and utilization of capric acid and adipic acid. Strain 13 H- 2 (= NIBRBAC 000503223) was isolated from meadow soil in Yeongwol, Gangwon Province, Korea (37 ° 23 ′ 04.0 ″ N 128 ° 41 ′ 01.3 ″ E).
